So not straying too far from last weeks post, I want to show you some alternative dining options – booth or bench seating. This is a much more informal way of dining and is particularly great for families, as you can fit more bums on seats!
There are a few different ways that you can go about this, the first being….
This incorporates a full (generally upholstered) seat and back, and is very commonly seen in restaurants. However, it can be just as effective at home.
Ok, so it’s not a million miles away from the booth, but its a bit less formal with either no back upholstery or a much lower one. Scatter cushions are a great way to cosy up an area like this and it can become much more than just a dining space.
If you don’t like the idea of a built in bench then why not go for a free standing one or two. This is much more adaptable in the space and will still cater for the larger numbers when necessary.
With our lives getting busier and there being less time for spending precious time with our families and friends, this style dining lends perfectly to larger gatherings. So you will have no excuses….
