10 Great Pieces of Furniture for your Bedroom

Good morning! I hope you are all doing well this week.

So, continuing on from our bedroom talk last week, I thought that I would show you some great bedroom furniture options this week. From gorgeous luxurious deep buttoned beds to more contemporary and quirky bedside tables.

Made.com is a fantastic UK company that set up about 2 years ago, to take on the high street retailers. Giving consumers more affordable designer furniture by dealing directly with the manufactures and grouping orders.  They have a fantastic range of furniture but I particularly love their range of beds and bedroom furniture. The Lansdowne collection (above) is a gorgeous contemporary bed, with the option to buy with or without the under storage. There are also bedside tables and chest of drawers in this collection.

The Jonah Collection (above) also from Made.com is a more retro style bed, with subtle curved edges. This bed is made exclusively for Made.com.

Montana Furniture in the Stillorgan Ind Est, has a fantastic selection of both wooden and upholstered beds. If you are looking for something a little bit cosier or more luxurious then check them out. The Avondale and the Julliard (above) are two great examples.

Since arriving in Ireland a few years ago, Ikea has been a staple for many of us, myself included. See above, two great examples of a contemporary and classic bedroom. The Engan range and the Malm range, are simple but functional and would work really well in any space.

Now, I am a big Ikea fan but sometimes I think that it is good to break the mould and to do something a little bit different. The Malm range is a great range to “hack” or modify and I did just that in one of our projects. I very simply painted the drawer fronts, and it changed the look and feel of the furniture immediately, as you can see below.

We also, painted the Edland chest for another project, which I think looked great. Now unfortunately the Edland have been discontinued, but there are lots of other pieces that you can add your own personal style too.

If however, you don’t have the time or inclination to hack an Ikea piece, but you still want something unique and quirky, check out the bedside tables below. The gorgeous electric blue table is from Rockett St George, the online store and the quirky Random bedside table is from Industry Design, based in Smock Alley, Temple Bar.

If you are still unsure about what you want, or what will work in your space, then why not call to book a free consultation in our studio in Francis St, Dublin 8 and avail of our Open Studio. Just call 01 4370933.
