Colour in the Country.

Hi there,

I have to apologies for the delay in my newsletter going out this week, but I’m just going to blame it on the bank holiday weekend. 🙂

So we recently finished a gorgeous house in Co. Kildare for a client and I received the photos from the photographer last week, so I thought that you might like to have a look.

Entrance Hall

This Wingback chair was the clients own chair, which they had in the house before it was renovated. As it was upholstered in a very traditional fabric, it was not going to work in the new surroundings, so we reupholstered it. I really love giving an old piece of furniture a new lease of life and mixing it with contemporary pieces.

Kitchen/Dining/Living

We were finding it very difficult to source a sideboard that would work in the space, as it had to be quite narrow. So we ended up designing the sideboard (above) which we had made in Dublin. We also got the dining chairs made. So if you can’t source the piece of furniture that you want, then getting something made just could be an option.

Family Room

In this room, my client wanted something vibrant and quirky, so the first thing that we purchased was the floor rug. Our client had already purchased this sofa from Harvey Norman, and I think she regretted it afterwards. So we worked with what we had and changed some of the cushions, adding some vibrant colours.

Again we had difficulties sourcing furniture, this time it was the armchair, so we specified this from a local supplier aswell. We then wanted to add some quirky pieces, so we got these cool Flower Tables and the leaning bookshelf.

Master Bedroom

This armchair was another chair that my client had which we also got reupholstered. I love the neutral tones of this fabric mixed with the pop of pink.

Our client was looking for something for something very specific in her bedroom. She wanted a piece of furniture that incorporated both the TV and a dressing table, so we designed this unit (above).

I hope that you like our latest project and that you have gotten some ideas from it. If you are in the middle of a project or you are just thinking about it, but need a bit of advice, then why not avail of our open studio. All you have to do is call 01 4370933 to make an appointment to see one of our designers here in the studio, and we’ll do the rest.

Be Creative….
